A Studio Brimming with Stories and Inspiration
As an artist, my studio is my sanctuary. It's a space overflowing with over 30 years of cherished tools, supplies, and found objects that each hold a special place in my heart. Imagine kilns humming gently in the background, easels proudly displaying works in progress, and shelves adorned with gemstones and beads, each waiting to be transformed into a piece of art. My dog, Zumi, keeps me company as I work, surrounded by memories of adventures and the beauty of the art that has grown with me over the years.

Creating art in this paradise, each piece I craft is one-of-a-kind, born from traditional techniques and unique methods I've developed throughout my creative journey. My hope is that when you see my jewelry and paintings, you'll not only see my love for St. Lucia but also feel a spark of joy, much like I do living in this beautiful haven.

The Essence of St. Lucia in Every Creation
My connection to St. Lucia runs deep. My grandmother's roots were planted here, and though I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, this island called me home. It was during an unexpected shelter from the rain under a magnificent ficus tree that I felt the island's magic. The towering tree, so different from the delicate houseplants I knew, was a symbol of the awe-inspiring nature that now frequently finds its way into my art.

Living in St. Lucia since 1992 with my husband, Mell, who lovingly handles our culinary adventures, I've been blessed to experience a lifetime in what many consider a dream destination. My artwork is a tribute to this island – a way for you to either experience St. Lucia's magic for the first time or to relive those wonderful memories of your visit.

A Blend of Traditional and Modern Artistic Expressions
My journey in art began with a BA from the State University of Buffalo Teacher’s College, where I explored various art genres but found my calling in painting and jewelry making. Post-retirement from teaching, oil on canvas has become my primary form of expression, allowing me to capture the vibrant hues of my surroundings. In my private lessons, I introduce students to the wonders of acrylics, guiding them to bring their visions to life.

Jewelry making is another passion where enamels and gemstones meet the luster of silver, creating pieces that are as unique as the individuals who wear them. The advent of digital painting and pigment ink printers has opened new horizons, enabling me to blend traditional painting with modern technology. This provides opportunities for tadeonal and digital artwork.
